Teaching a mosaic class for ARCK at The Gardner Pilot Academy in Boston

Working with ARCK Boston (Art Resource Collaborative for Kids) Christos volunteered to lead a mosaic class for the Gardner Pilot Academy in the Allston neighborhood of Boston.

He gave the students a brief overview of the history of mosaics, highlighting key examples from some of the best known mosaics from the past, and taught them how to construct a simple mosaic of their own.

The final artwork created by the students was put on public exhibit at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston (SMFA) from June 20th to July 8th 2013.
